Bringing Seniors to Food
The Hunger Resource Network “Bringing Seniors to Food” initiative is celebrating its 8th anniversary. This initiative has been helping food insecure residents of Crestwood Place get the food they need twice each month.
This has been accomplished by bringing residents to the Northfield Township Food Pantry once a month and bringing food from the food pantry to the residents once a month. We are extremely proud of the fact that this program continued to operate through the heights of Covid, during which time the food pantry was closed to shoppers. At that time, our team adapted by picking up the food at the pantry twice a month, and delivered it to the residents. All of the participants remained food secure during that challenging time.
