About Us

Hunger Resource Network is an all volunteer network of business partners, recipient agencies, and volunteers/volunteers groups that service those in need. Hunger Resource Network is not a food bank but assists by linking this network in an efficient and caring manner.

Hunger Resource Network's goal is to supplement food banks and local efforts to qualifying shelters, food pantries, and soup kitchens through our network of business partners and volunteers. Whether it's connecting a recipient agency with a food source in their area or finding a business partner able to provide the agency with discount to extend their purchasing power, we are willing to help make the connection.

What makes us different? - First, Hunger Resource Network is an all volunteer organization, so there are no salaries paid to any operating personnel or the board members. Second, we are building a model to be used by anyone wanting to assist those in need. Third, we are not limited geographically to specific service areas. Fourth, we work with agencies and their many needs, not just food. We believe that the people served by these agencies are hungry for many things in addition to food – toiletries, linens, day-to-day essentials and so forth.
